Traffic is a major problem in big popular cities. For example Austin Tx. Austin is full of many different attractions for people to enjoy. The problem is that while this city does offer a lot it also gets congested by cars creating traffic jams on a daily basis and makes it difficult to navigate thru the city.

Aside from the traffic we run into the population aspect of the problem. With many cars circulating around the city it contaminates the air we breath. This can lead to health problems for many people.

Solution:

To resolve this problem Austin Cycling has created a program that is fit for many people who are in Austin Tx. This company offers a rental service where customers can rent and return bike cycles at various locations throughout Austin. Customers can see the closest bike rental location near them on their mobile device and can pay for a day to rent the bike and will then receive an unlock code on their phone after paying a rental fee for the bike.

Austin Cycling’s customers are students, city tourists, and families: Students value being green and cost effective and healthy. With riding bikes they are staying fit and saving money while helping the environment.
City tourists value the convenience of not having to drive downtown and being able to get to their locations fast and without having to pay for parking.
Families’ value comes from a great healthy fun activity fun for all members of the family.

Design Elements:

Cronos Pro bold typeface was used to create the new company name design. It is a sans-serif with slight round corners, this ties in with the curves the corkscrew has.  Open Sans was used for the information on the packaging. Being a sans serif the typeface lends itself for easy legibility so that the user can follow the text easily.

Three colors were used for the new package design of this product. Black was used in the entire sleeve of of the product. This helps bring a classy look to the product, as well as playing off the color of the product itself. The grey was used to give color to the name of the brand and product name. The grey blends in with the black nicely and stands out because of the spot printing. This helps keep the sleeve simple and stylish. White was used on the body copy to display the products information on the sleeve. White was used against the black sleeve to bring contrast and help be legible.
